If you think Benson Library is important to the community, there are plenty of ways to help that are free!
- Join the library and encourage friends and family to join – it’s free! Simply just using the library really is one of the most important things you can do.
- Visit the library – find out what’s on in your local area, have a browse, read a local magazine, catch up on local newsletters, use the free wifi, the list goes on!
- Take out books, CDs, DVDs, audio books! Any books, random books, just take out books!
- Did you know that children under the age of 5 can take out up to 30 picture books and there’s no overdue fees!
“It’s great having such a variety of books at home to help keep my children’s boredom at bay! It’s quite a thing trying to sort the library books for returning – I have been known to return one of our own books in amongst the pile, but Hilary spotted it for us!”
We welcome individuals who would like to help run one-off events such as author talks, quiz nights, activities for school children, celebrating Library Week in October, manning our stall at fairs and Christmas fairs.
Or if your organisation could be more involved with the Library we’d love to hear from you. We’re always looking for new collaborations or sessions that we could run in the Library for the community.
